Colbie 2.0

Friday night, Allison and I, along with our friends Alexa and Daniel
attended the Colbie Caillat concert at Memorial Auditorium.

You may be wondering why this post is entitled Colbie 2.0.
That's because this was the second time I've seen Colbie in concert.
Last summer, my dad and I went to see Colbie and Gavin Degraw
when they were on tour together.
Now, if you don't know me personally, you probably don't know that
I am THE BIGGEST Gavin Degraw fan IN THE WORLD.
I know that seems like an exaggeration,
but seriously I've loved that man since the 5th grade
when he came out with the "I don't wanna be" music video.
He's my future husband, no doubt.

VIP = Very Important Person = HIS FUTURE WIFE!

My man was rockin' out!

Cool picture? I think so.

Umm this will be the picture on our wedding invitation – minus my dad, of course.
Be looking out for it in the mail.
Maybe we'll even give out mini straw fedoras as party favors???

Anyways, back to the concert I just attended.

Noah Gundersen Photo by Alexa Pressman
Noah Gundersen and the Courage opened the show to a slightly intoxicated crowd.
People were proudly double-fisting beers from the concessions,
but it is Athens after all.
I had never heard of Gundersen, but I will say that everyone should know his name.
He will make it big sometime soon, because his music was awesome.
Slightly depressing, but awesome, none-the-less.

To learn more about Gundersen, visit his website here: http://noahgundersenmusic.com

Of course, we got to meet Noah out in the lobby of Mem Aud.

Alexa got to get right up to the stage to get up close picture Ms. Caillat!

And here are Colbie's bandmates. They were a bunch of friendly fellows!

Finally, after an hour and a half,
the one and only Colbie Caillat appeared out of her tour bus.
The ten of us that had desperately waited in the cold for a picture with her were ecstatic.
And here it is!

Straight Up Strikes Again!

It's that time of month . . . you know the one . . .
NO not that one . . . I meant it's time for Straight Up!

Yesterday, I hosted my fourth episode of Straight Up Entertainment News.
Like always, it was a blast!

Plus, I think it was the smoothest morning we've ever had!
No technical difficulties to be had in RTV.

Sadly, it was my last time hosting until the fall. :(

So now, I am counting down the days until I'm in front of that green screen again!

As always Allison was there to capture the moments . . .
and as a little treat, I've mixed in a few new cast pictures taken
by Straight Up Director David Thompson for you to enjoy.

Getting ready to host!

Hallie Gebel was my co-host for the morning.
What a lovely gal she is!

Another lovely lady from Straight Up – Michelle Robinson everyone!

Lights, Camera, Action . . . There's nothing like it!
I was determined to wear a springtime look even though it's snowing right now . . .
but that's Ohio weather for you.

Can't go wrong with a floral dress,
and nothing says spring like a pair of mustard tights.
Bring it all together with a basic like a tan blazer.

Scandalous!!!

Tanya Parker (Producer) and David Thompson (Director)
They're both graduating seniors.
We, at Straight Up, will miss them dearly, for they truly kept the ship afloat.
I can't wait to see what life has in store for them!
Congratulations you two!

Three co-hosts in three episodes . . . I feel like a host whore!

Just one big happy family. <3

Fun in the Sun

So you all know where I went for Spring Break 2013 . . . but what about our lovely photographer?

While I was walking the cold city streets of New York City,
Allison was sunbathing poolside in The Villages, Florida.

And here are some photos she took of her adventure!!

We're Just Ordinary People . . . but THEY AREN'T!!

Over spring break, I met quite a few interesting/famous people,
which you're bound to do while visiting New York City
and here they are!

Signed by Mary Poppins and Bert.
Dad and I out front at the New Amsterdam Theater.

Karl Kenzler who played Mr. Banks.
He was fantastic, and made me like Mr. Banks a little bit more.

Valerie Boyle as Mrs. Brill, the maid.

Nicolas Dromard who played Bert.

Miss Steffanie Leigh!! The supercalifragisticexpialidocious Mary Poppins!

At Mood Fabrics, I happened to run into a former contestant of Project Runway!
Kooan Kosuke of Season 10.

Signed by most of the Once cast!!

Ben Hope as Guy.
Hope is actually the understudy, but with his performance skills, he could be the star!

Cristin Milioti as Girl.
Wow is all I can say for this girl. Bravo!
