Sibs weekend is an annual tradition at Ohio University.
Every spring, siblings of OU students are invited to spend the weekend
at their siblings' home away from home.
Brothers and sisters from all over the world are able to meet new people,
go to organized events, and experience college life with their family.
I am actually an only child, so I had to search for adopted sibs to spend my weekend with.
Thankfully, I didn't have to look very far, because Allison happens to have a sister
who was more than willing to come and visit for the weekend.

Allison's sister, Ashley, arrived on Friday around 5pm,
ready to embrace college life and all its wonders.
After she got settled in, we went to dinner at Shively* dining hall,
and Ashley got to experience college cafeteria food.
That evening, my adopted sibs (Ashley and Allison) and I attended Open Stage, Ohio University's very own open mic night, at the Frontroom cafe in Baker Center.
We were pleasantly surprised as we walked into Open Stage,
because there was Brad McCallion at the mic, singing away.
On Saturday morning, we did an impromptu sibs photo shoot!
I took pictures of the lovely sisters and here are a few for your enjoyment.
Saturday night, we ordered Wings over Athens (an Athens favorite)
and it just so happened that

One of my adopted sibs! We look like we could be related, right?! :p |
Above is Brad! He's an RA in our building and he's pretty great at music. |

Allison getting all artistic with the photography. :) |
Ben Leeson, an OU musician, performs at Open Stage almost every Friday. P.S. Allison and I are big fans! |

Saturday night, we ordered Wings over Athens (an Athens favorite)
and it just so happened that
Twilight premiered on ABC Family.
. . . we had to watch it! DUH!
And weirdly enough, Ashley knows basically every word of Twilight . . .
The evening progressed with movie after movie,
including Pitch Perfect which is aca-awesome
(if you haven't seen it, you should)
and Burlesque.
(Who doesn't love Christina Aguilera?! . . . and Stanley Tucci!)
Sunday morning was spent relaxing and watching movies,
exactly how a Sunday morning should be.
Sadly, early that afternoon it was time for Ashley to head back home,
and resume high school life and a hectic softball schedule.
The weekend went splendidly, and Ashley is welcome back any time she wants!
*Shively Dining Hall - one of four dining halls on campus. It's set up as a food court and it's delicious . . . and conveniently located right next to our residence hall!
